It was first held on October 28, 1979, and has since become an established tradition. The festival features open-air concerts of traditional music, dancing and various cultural events, centered on Old Tbilisi, the historical part of the city. For the first time in New York was held on October 8, 2017 Organized by Georgian Cultural Center " PESVEBI " on Staten Island at Wolf Pond Park. It was a very emotional, exciting, energetic and very fun event Which was attended by 3000 guests Despite the rainy weather. The event was attended by the Consul General of Georgia Diana Jgenti, and the politician Scott Stringer's representative Ari Kagan, The event was also attended by the representative of Staten Island City Hall. Representatives of various televisions and radio broadcasters. We have invited a very popular TV show from Georgia " Skhva Rakursi Gia Jajanidzestan Ertad " Who has covered " TBILISOBA " in Georgia from New York and took a very high rating. A great concert was held where Georgian, American, Ukrainian, Hebrew and Moldovan singers and dancers arrived for this event specially. Georgian ensembles of dance and singing in the USA also participated ensemble MAMULI from Philadelphia, ensemble IBERIELEBI from New Jersey, Georgian Cultural Center "Dancing Crane" from New York and Georgian Cultural Center "PESVEBI". The musicians participated in live music: (musical Director) Irakli Beglarashvili,Nikoloz Eliava, Nodar Obolashvili,Giorgi Janiashvili,Irakli sharadze,Ramaz Sagirashvili,Merab Ebralidze,Tinatin Narimanidze and Artistic Director Ivan Goderdzishvili. The stars of the Georgian singers also sing: Nini Shermadini,Nini Tsiklauri, Anna Kolkkhidashvili, Levan shengelia,Kristi Shushadze, Niko Nadirashvili, Vlad Aramov,Davit Ambrosidze. Sports competitions were also held in judo, football and chess, Lottery tickets were held where lucky guests gained very expensive prizes, Georgian restaurants prepared delicious Georgian dishes. The artists held an exhibition of paintings, Handmade items and souvenirs were sold. On this day we offered a new experience to the American community, after which all were happy.
